I have the best idea… yeah right!
Date Added: January 14th, 2008
I was a typical know it all teenager. I thought I could do everything better than my mom. One morning I was frustrated, trying to get the frozen orange juice concentrate out of the container (this was prior to the packaging now in use that can be warmed in the microwave to get the stuff out). First, I pulled the white pull tag to remove the top lid. Then (this is when I thought I was a genius), I used a can opener to pry the bottom lid off. The orange stuff would easily just slide right out! Boy, was I smart!!
Then I read the label : Use with 3 cans of water…. How was I supposed to measure the water when I had opened both ends of the container? What a teenage chickenpucker moment!!
It must have made my mom really proud. I think it was then she began to fear for my ability to feed myself!!
Turkey surprise
Date Added: December 17th, 2007
We have a family gathering every year about this time, and we always cook a huge turkey for dinner. As I prepared the turkey, I decided that if a turkey rubbed with butter and herbs was delicious…then it would also stand to reason that a turkey rubbed with oil and herbs would be even better. As the glistening turkey found its way to the table and the first slices were passed out to the hungry masses, I listened for the sighs of approval. “Yuck”, I heard loud and clear from my nephew. Distraught, I gobbled up a piece…oh yeah. It was nasty. A perfectly good bird, ruined by a back seat chef. —- Mark from Lawton, Michigan
